Seedlings...

So I had started some of my veggies and flowers in the little greenhouse. It's been a learning experience for sure... I planted snap dragons and delphinium on one side and a bunch of veggies on the other. Apparently I had a little bit of a moisture issue as my snap dragons have all pretty much succumbed to mold. :( Definitely been a learning experience! The photo to the left was when everything just started to pop up and you can't really see much of anything.

Now the delphinium have popped up pretty well and the snap dragons are hanging on by a thread... on the veggie side the peppers are kicking booty (sweet peppers and 4 types of hot peppers) and the rest are failing pretty badly. Kohlrabi, broccoli, cabbage, sage and basil all looking pretty horrible. One the right is a picture of the plants today. You can see the peppers coming up nice and strong and green. Everything else looks like bean sprouts, haha. Other than the peppers, the stems are all white and flimsy and the little starter leaves have rotted off. Again, an issue with moisture. The lid is now off 100% of the time, and with the weather playing nice, the whole little bin has been spending the day out on the front porch in the sun. Maybe there's hope for some of these little plants yet!!

Weight is down to 167.5, so I'm down over 6 lbs! Woohoo! I've also signed up for a 5k challenge where I have daily walking goals leading up to a 5k at the end. My 5k will be the Race for the Cure which I've already enrolled in. :) And if I work my little tushie off, then I'll be eligable for a fabulous trip! If nothing else I'll get a cool little charm for the WW keychain I'll be getting when I lose 10% of my body weight. I've got 10 lbs to go for that goal! Woohoo!! Once I get my keychain and charms I'll be sure to post pictures of those too. :)

  1. Love this post! You rock honey! You'll be to 15 lbs before you know it - keep it up honey!!! When we got to Great Lakes, you can count all the walking there, too, right?

Your little plants will find the light ;-) The weather definitely helps. Grow little plants, grow grow grow!!! I'll be their cheer section ;-)

    LOVE YOU!!!
